BORDER CLASS
3-hour class, No Sewing!
Learn how to make pieced borders fit a quilt top. Examine several simple shapes that can be pieced to make many different borders.  Interior borders add pizzazz without using math skills. Perfect 1/4" wide inserts are accurate with (almost) hands free sewing.

DOUBLE WEDDING RING WORKSHOP
6-Hour class
Double Wedding Ring Workshop

Use Double Wedding Ring Rulers to cut the individual patches for the class project.  These rings are appliqued to background fabric so there is no curved piecing.  Students must have basic patchwork and rotary cutting skills.

Mary's Mystery Quilt

Is it Mr. Thread in the studio or Miss Stiletto in the fabric store?   Interrogate the suspects, follow the clues and don't be fooled by red herrings. This is a fun class for the quilter with a sense of adventure. Mary will select the case for your group. The patchwork top will be approximately 45"X60".

A 30 YEAR ODYSSEY OF A BEGINNING QUILTER
Take a trip through time with a trunk show spanning a 30 year period.  Mary claims to only do easy projects and to only be an Advanced Beginning Quilter.
 
DOUBLE WEDDING RING QUILTS
Slide lecture and trunk show. Look at the many creative blocks made from the parts of a traditional Double Wedding Ring Block.

BORDERS
Slide Lecture and 6 to 12 quilt trunk show.
This slide lecture visually outlines many border options. One of Mary's students says, "...we all get in a rut and use the same kind of borders. Being able to see these slides and examples of different borders that are possible is really an eye opener. An unusual or eye-catching border can really make a plain quilt into a very special one."
